Abstract : Low-grade red oak logs were made into satisfactory pallet deckboards in approximately 15 minutes by a process of rotary knife cutting, press drying, and gluing into the final product. Advantages, in addition to speed of processing, were the high yield from low-grade material, and an apparently acceptable end product. (Author)
