Abstract : The effect of an acoustic field on the mixing of the injecting and injected streams in a cylindrical tube mixer was examined. A considerable intensification of the mixing process is attained which permits the shortening of the necessary mixer length by 30-60 percent. An analysis was made of the effect of the acoustic field on the burning processes in the combustion chamber. The use of the acoustic field permits a substantial broadening of the lower boundary of stable operation in the burner studied.
