Abstract : Three sets of computational forms are presented to facilitate the computation of Commission Internationale de L'Eclarige chromaticity coordinates of signal devices and luminous transmittance (or reflectance) values of colored materials. In each set of 16,20, or 40 spectral ordinate forms, there is a form specific to a particular color temperature as applied to a tungsten lamp. The usual assumption is made that the spectral distribution of energy of a real (tungsten) source is proportional to that of a full radiator (blackbody) of the same color temperature. In addition, there are forms for the standardized non-Planckian sources B, C, and D6500 as well as for a theoretical equal energy source. The 40 ordinate (10 nanometer) forms cover the spectral range 380 to 770 nanometer while the 16 and 20 ordinate (20-nanometer interval) forms cover the span 400 to 700 and 380 to 670 nanometer, respectively. These forms are intended to correspond with the wave length sampling intervals of a number of contemporary spectral analyzing equipments or to practical limitations on data taken from continuous graphic spectral recordings. The use of these forms with transmittance and reflectance types of spectrophotometric data, and also spectroradiometric data is exemplified. (Author)
