Abstract : Experimental data are cited concerning the effect of the temperature upon deformation resistance in compression and elongation tests of steel 40 and brass L62. The deformation of steel 40 at 500 degrees and that of brass L62 at 300 degrees decreases by a factor of 1.5-2. The indicated temperatures have been adopted as the temperatures for the warm pressing of the metals under investigation. (Author)
