Abstract : For the evaluation of aerodynamic coefficients of incompressible cascade flow the momentum method is chiefly used. This method is an extension of the application of the momentum theory for a single two-dimensional wing. It is here applied to the compressible cascade flow in the subsonic region. It is shown that in comparison to the method applied to incompressible flow only minor changes appear. Hence, it is shown that the momentum method for incompressible cascade flow can be applied with sufficient approximation also to subsonic compressible flow without any modification. (Author)
