Abstract : A Fortran IV Computer Program is given which expands system analysis capabilities in the analysis and design of feedback control systems. Differential equations representing the mathematical model of a system are converted into equivalent transfer functions by use of the Laplace Transformation. The inverse impulse response of the system transfer function is combined with simple forcing function responses (i.e., steps, ramps, parabaloids) to obtain the total solution to the problem. The superposition principle of linear systems is utilized to construct arbitrary complex forcing functions from the simple forcing functions. Model parameters can be changed in a discrete fashion permitting the response of a linear time variant system to be obtained. The tabulation of the source deck and the corresponding flow chart are given. The utility of the program is demonstrated by examples, system sensitivity studies, transient response studies of a linear discrete time variant system, and differentiation and integration of an arbitrary forcing function. On-line printer plots of the time solutions are generated. (Author)
