Abstract : Experiments were conducted by the Atmospheric Sciences Laboratory at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, to determine the shape and behavior of the temperature spectrum under different atmospheric conditions. Results of these experiments are presented in this report along with a description of equipment and techniques used. Deviations from the Obukhov-Kolmogorov hypothesis of -5/3 slope in the inertial subrange were found when strong buoyancy effects were present or at very low wind speeds. (Author)
