Abstract : A study of the weathering of paint is necessarily slow because it depends on long-term exposure trials. In Australia, the high incidence of sunshine and, in some areas, severe fungal attack are factors which aggravate the problems of satisfactory protection of materials by paint. However, work is being done on the technical aspects of paint deterioration in Australia and this work will help in the understanding of the problem as a whole. (Author)
