Abstract : The thermal stability of materials made of titanium carbide plus steel was studied in the annealed and hardened states at 600, 800 and 1000C for 32 hours by a gravimetric method. The materials were found to oxidize less in air than the corresponding steels. The thermal stability of the material was higher in the hardened state than after annealing. (Author)
