Abstract : The investigations were carried out on an aluminum alloy A1MgSi (PA4) under an uniaxial state of stress at a temperature of 296 degrees K and a frequency of 31Hz. For a constant mean given stress, the vibrational creep curves are higher in respect to the creep curve, the greater the given stress amplitude coefficient. For a constant maximum given stress, the vibrational creep curves are lower, the greater the given stress. However, for a very small given stress the vibrational creep curve is higher than the creep curve. Thus the strongly activating influence of small vibrations on the vibrational creep process is clearly visible. In the case of a small given stress, it was found that the higher the level of stress, the greater is the effect of the vibrations on the vibrational creep process. A physical interpretation of vibrational creep is also presented in the paper. (Author)
