Abstract : The requirements for h-f communication systems are becoming more stringent expecially for small aircraft such as the F-14 and S-3. To optimize the transmitter power budget, the relative efficiency of various antenna configurations including the coupling circuits required to match the antenna to the transmitter has been compared in this analytic study.
