Abstract : The anomaly of grain growth was observed in remolten ball bearing steels and in those molten according to standard in the electric-arc furnace. From these tests, the influential factors determining the beginning of secondary recrystallization was derived. From the results conclusion are drawn for remelting with respect to the suppression of secondary recrystallization up to a temperature of austenatization as high as possible. (Author)
