Aspects of digestive physiology covered are size of the blood meals and their distribution within the alimentary canal, properties of the salivary glands, gross and histological changes in the gut and its contents, the enzyme content of the gut and the properties of the digestive enzymes. The relationship of digestive processes to vectoring ability is discussed briefly. (Author)
