Abstract : Particle-code computer simulations are used to study whistler turbulence in collisionless plasmas driven by initially anisotropic bi-Maxwellian and loss cone electron distributions. Linear growth of magnetic energy is observed to saturate when the growth rate is of the order of the particle trapping frequency. Isotropization of the particle distribution is studied and phase space plots clearly illustrating particle pitch angle diffusion are presented. (Author)
