Abstract : Experiments in the turbulent boundary layer on a yawed flat plate were conducted at low speeds in a small wind tunnel. Velocity profiles and flow directions were measured using a combined yaw probe. The velocities present themselves approximately as triangles when plotted in a polar diagram. Coles' wake function provides a good approximation in the case of the yawing plate. Finally, the results are plotted also as velocity-defect profiles.
