Abstract : The major purpose of the present study was to investigate systematically three types of group contingency management systems. The three systems to be compared are: the independent system, where individual rewarding outcomes depend upon the level of individual performance; the interdependent system, in which individual rewarding outcomes depend upon the level of group performance; and the double-reinforcement system where individual rewarding outcomes depend upon both the individual's performance, and the level of group performance.
