Abstract : The article presents the results of studies for the purpose of selecting a cutting fluid (CF) to be used during high-speed metal working on an automation line. It is shown that the quality of a processed metal surface depends on the antiwear, antiseize effect of the lubricant. The best result was obtained with greater than 2 percent additive KhLOREF-40, containing sulphur, phosphorus, and chlorine. Other additives increased the seizing load to 178 to 282 kgf and reduced the wear. (Author)
