Abstract : The infrared reflectivity of arsenic has been measured in the vicinity of the plasma resonance frequency for the E-vector both parallel and perpendicular to the trigonal axis. The plasma frequencies were determined from the reflectivity minima which occurred at 77 K at 4.3 micrometers (0.288 eV) and 4.65 micrometers (0.266 eV) for E parallel and perpendicular to the trigonal axis, respectively.
