Abstract : It is pointed out that in dilute disordered alloys of Pd containing up to 1 at.% Fe or Co, the experimentally observed Curie temperature is proportional to the acoustic-spin-wave stiffness D. In Pd Mn alloys, the linear dependence of D on the impurity concentration c suggested by Mills et al. may require revision in view of the 'mixed' nature of the 'ordered' ground state of this alloy system.
