Abstract : During recent years, the problem of the descent to the Earth and onto other planets of entry bodies located outside the atmosphere has become very timely. The investigation of the unguided motion of an entry body relative to its center of mass is an important aspect of this problem. The investigation of this motion is necessary in order to determine the overload components, the correct interpretation of the reading of the instruments mounted onboard the entry body, the determination of the disposition of the heat-protective covering, and also for the determination of the dispersion of the landing points.
