Abstract : It is shown that the wear resistance of self-fluxing alloys increases with the load in dry friction or when lubricants containing abrasive particles is used. An alloy couple has the lowest friction under high loads. Parts with a self-fluxing solid alloy surface have a wear resistance at least 4 times greater than standard production parts.
