Abstract : The detection efficiency of the liquid scintillator NE-213 has been measured directly at 14.5 MeV neutron energy by the associated particle technique using the recoil alpha particles from the T(d,n)He4 reaction. Below 14.5 MeV the detection efficiency was determined by n,p scattering. Comparisons were made between these measured efficiencies and calculated efficiencies. The calculated efficiencies included both analytic and Monte Carlo type calculations. (Author)
