Abstract : The first part of the paper presents Takahara's algorithm for multilevel (decentralized, hierarchical) control of a linear plant with quadratic criterion. In the second part, the author proposes a modified, closed loop algorithm, which would allow one to do on-line control, i.e. actually control some types of plants before the algorithm has converged, even in presence of perturbations. In the third part, numerical examples are presented and discussed, comparing the two algorithms. (Author)
