Abstract : Analysis, in a quasi stationary approximation, of the ignition of a liquid fuel droplet is described. It is shown that ignition will occur at the point where the chemical reaction rate possesses a local maximum. It is also shown that this point is characterized by a stoichiometric relation between the fuel and the oxidizer. (Author)
