Abstract : It has been established that explants of cotyledons and genuine leaves of cotton react to defoliants in ways similar to whole plants. In relation to this it may be assumed that explants of cotton can be used as test objects for an initial estimate of the defoliating activity of various compounds on cotton. (Author)
