Abstract : The reaction of a solid fuel with a gaseous oxidizer is intensified with, e.g., an increase in the reaction surface of the oxidizer. The authors have attempted to verify the possibility of intensifying the internal reaction by changing the pressure in a gas containing solid-fuel particles. In the investigations, they studied the influence of variable pressure on the process of the burning of large single particles of solid fuel, and explained the role of internal reaction in this process.
