Abstract : The more important aspects of physiological and clinical problems in Aviation Medicine are generally well known at this time. It is not the same for biophysical problems which confront man with very new environmental factors such as space cosmic rays, electromagnetic and magnetic fields, lasers etc. The biological effects of these factors are often insufficiently known. This first meeting states these problems, reviews the findings of research already carried out, and points out the main topics to be clarified as soon as possible. It is divided into four parts: Biological effects of cosmic rays; Biological effects of electromagnetic waves; Biological effects of magnetic fields; Biological effects of lasers.
