Abstract : Repassivation kinetic studies of several alloys exposed to environments in which they are susceptible to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) were compared to environments where SCC is not observed using tribo-ellipsometry (a technique for measurement of film growth transients following removal of the oxide by abrasion) and conventional electrochemical techniques.
