Abstract : In creep testing alloy IVT-1 it was discovered that if two specimens tested under identical conditions show different initial deformations, then, as a rule, the specimen with the greater initial deformation has lower creep than the specimen with the lower initial deformation. At test temperatures of 100-250C and loads of 120-75 kg/sq mm there was little increase in total deformation of the alloy specimens with an increase in time under the load. Thus, at the greatest applied stress of 120 kg/sq mm and a temperature of 100C there was a maximal increase in total deformation of 0.04%. The structure of the alloys was studied after creep testing at the test temperatures and stresses. (Author)
