Abstract : When investigating the flow around a bluff body at low supersonic speed in a shock tube, it is necessary to consider possible changes in parameters of the incoming flow for the time during which the leading shock wave is formed. After termination of the forming process of the leading shock wave, there is observed a continuous reduction in the distance between the shock front and the body up to the moment of the arrival of the contact point. Changes in the withdrawal value are noted for argon and nitrogen at different distances of the model from the section where the diaphragm is set up. (Author)
