Abstract : The report describes a theoretical and experimental study of the vaporization rates of a liquid injected into a high temperature supersonic gas flow. The single valued relation between the static pressure and the distillation and vaporization process is used as a basis of this study conducted in an adiabatic cylindrical tube. Calculations of the parameters of the entire process of distillation and vaporization are carried out, taking into account the changes in the flow parameters. Theoretical calculations are supported by experiments in which aviation gasoline was injected through a laval nozzle into an air flow at M equals 2.5 at a static temperature from 600 to 800 K.
