Abstract : An interferometry technique based on the use of continuous wave gas laser and a pulsed ruby laser is described and used to study the behavior of laminar and turbulent films of air at a porous wall in the presence of carbon dioxide and helium injected into the air at varying rates. Interactions observed in the interferograms are discussed in relation to stream flow rates. (Author)
