Abstract : The analysis of nonlinear reactor kinetics with Doppler feedback is developed by the use of the PoincareLindstedt perturbation technique. The two types of temperature dependent reactivity coefficients to be investigated are dk/dT proportional to 1/T and dk/dT proportional to 1/(T to the 3/2 power)). Each of these reactivity models are analyzed for the reactor with positive and negative coefficients of reactivity and infinite slab and finite cylindrical geometries. The PoincareLindstedt perturbation solution is constructed in the form of an expansion about the unperturbed state of the reactor. Each of the perturbed equilibrium solutions is subsequently analyzed for stability. (Author)
