Abstract : The analysis of nonlinear reactor kinetics with Doppler feedback is developed by the use of the Poincare-Lindstedt perturbation technique. The two types of temperature dependent reactivity coefficients to be investigated are dk/dT proportional to 1/T and dk/dT proportional to 1/(T to the 3/2 power)). Each of these reactivity models are analyzed for the reactor with positive and negative coefficients of reactivity and infinite slab and finite cylindrical geometries. The Poincare-Lindstedt perturbation solution is constructed in the form of an expansion about the unperturbed state of the reactor. Each of the perturbed equilibrium solutions is subsequently analyzed for stability. (Author)
