Abstract : An analysis is given of the motion of previously unmixed chemically active gases forming in infinite number of jets during diffusion combustion. A procedure is proposed for determining the distribution of parameters in such a jet system and the shape of the flame in a boundary layer approximation. The procedure assumes random but mutually equal turbulent analogs of the Schmidt and Prandtl numbers. A boundary value problem is formulated for the linear heat transfer equation by the linearization of generalized Prandtl-Mises variables in a plane. The problem is solved by a series expansion procedure. (Author)
