Abstract : It is shown that the corrosion in galvanized steel pipes of a hot water plant supplying 50 apartments was reduced by adding Na Ca polyphosphate. Inhibition is pronounced in galvanized steel pipes. The inhibition is especially great when phosphate and Ca concentrations are high. The acceptable limit for household use and for sanitary purposes is given. (Author)
