Abstract : One method of increasing the wear resistance of friction couples is natural alloying of a metal ceramic matrix. The authors studied the possibility of manufacturing iron powder production of a metal ceramic alloyed iron graphite porous material to be used for friction bearing surfaces. The properties of the powder produced are presented, as well as the properties of the metal ceramic material manufactured from the powder. The wear resistance of the material is compared to that of material manufactured from unalloyed iron powder. The wear resistance of the new material is higher, and the antifriction properties are also improved. (Author)
