Abstract : An experimental investigation was carried out on the dielectric properties of naphthene paraffin oil as a function of the degree of oxidation, as well as a study of the temperature (in the range of 286-523K) and frequency (in the range of 50 kHz-30 mHz) dependence of the tangency of the angle of dielectric losses. On the basis of the experimental data, the article establishes the presence of dispersion and absorption for naphthene paraffin oil in the range of 100-200 kHz at T = 286K. The investigation has made it possible to characterize the rate of formation of oxo-compounds in oil as a function of oxidation time based on the maximal value of the tangency of the angle of dielectric losses at critical frequency.
