Abstract : The bursting strength and other physical properties of vinol paper depended on the strength of bonds formed between vinol and poly-(vinyl alcohol) (I) sizing composition. Some physical properties (e.g., puncturing strength) of the vinol paper reached a maximum when the content of I was 20% and declined thereafter. The bursting strength of vinol paper was a function of the length and diameter of I fibers. (Author)
