Abstract : The primary purpose of this project is to successfully predict precipitation patterns over a synoptic scale region, and using the model which performed the prediction, to introduce the properties of cloud seeding in a parametric way and thus predict the possible alterations to precipitation and its effect on the consequent flow field. Efforts described here have produced a model which will hopefully produce satisfactory precipitation. The model includes a new convective parameterization scheme, careful incorporation of latent heat, consideration of computational methodology; concurrently, initial conditions have been prepared both from real atmospheric data and a theoretical test case.
