Abstract : The Advanced Logistics System will have a profound impact upon the human and organizational environment of the Air Force logistics system and could lead to eventual centralization of Air Force logistics processes with AFLC assuming many of the logistics decisions now made by the user commands and bases. For the present, the primary effects will be limited to centralization of information and control of only AFLC logistics processes with enhanced AFLC capability to support the USAF mission. ALS is progressing well in its development stage; however, a main problem is the need for better ALS information dissemination to the user commands. (Author)
