Abstract : The report discusses the viscoelastic properties, heat, and heat resistance of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plasticized with dibutylphthalate (DBF) and filled kaolin modified with salts of the heavy metals: lead, bismuth and mercury. It was established that kaolin with adsorbed lead, bismuth and mercury ions on its surface, is an active stabilizing filler of PVC. It was also shown that small amounts of DBP increase, and larger amounts--reduce the dynamic modulus of elasticity, E. The introduction of a plasticizer in PVC, filled with an inert filler, results in a sharper reduction in the physico-mechanical characteristics. The plasticization of PVC containing active fillers, is accompanied at first by small changes in the glass transition temperature and a large increase in E.
