Abstract : Santa Cruz Harbor is a smallcraft harbor located about 80 miles south of San Francisco, California. The harbor was completed in 1964 to meet the needs of a growing pleasure boat slip demand and provide shelter from storms that frequent the area. The entrance channel to the harbor has since experienced severe shoaling problems that has greatly reduced the intended year round use of the facilities. This report reviews the Santa Cruz Harbor Project and maintenance problems that have developed since construction. (Author)
