Abstract : The report formalizes three separable, although related decision-models of a problem involving rational approximations of optimally efficient allocations of land/labor under (i) an invariant set of security requirements and (ii) a variable set of information conditions. The descriptive base is derived from a well-documented New Guinea economic system, although the solutions are formally extended to a more generic class of decision problems. The decision models include (i) linear programming, (ii) decision making under certainty plus a game against nature with a minimax solution, and (iii) a statistical game (Bayesian) analysis. (Author)
