Abstract : The report contains a theoretical study concerning the stability of the steady state of a compressible viscous fluid with respect to small perturbations. Averaged movement corresponds to the case where the entire mass of the fluid moves like a solid at constant velocity, which makes it possible, by means of choice of the system of coordinates, to reduce the problem of a study of the stability of a medium at rest. The perturbations are assumed to be constant with respect to the spatial coordinates. The characteristic equations written out for two and three dimensional perturbations are reduced to the unidimensional case. The supplementary roots obtained in the course thereof correspond to perturbations attenuating in time. (Author)
