Abstract : An approximate analytical expression is derived for the energy distribution of positons leaving a negation bombarded target in the forward direction. The approximation restricts the validity of the formula to converter thicknesses one order of magnitude smaller than the value of the range of the bombarding negatons. Comparisons are made with experiments in the low (2.0 to 4.0 MeV) and medium (24.5 MeV) negaton kinetic energy region; the agreement is satisfactory. (Author)
