Abstract : Mologensky's solution of the geodetic boundaryvalue problem consists in an asymptotic series expansion with respect to a parameter k. It is shown that this series converges for sufficiently small values of k. The method starts from an integral equation given by Brovar and uses a Neumann series solution of this equation; the norms of the occuring singlular integral operators are suitably estimated.
