Abstract : The XYZ Potential Flow Program is a FORTRAN program which computes approximate solutions to problems of flow about threedimensional bodies of arbitrary shape. The surface of the body is approximated by a set of plane quadrilaterals. The solution is constructed in terms of a source density on the surface of the body. The integral equation for the source density is approximated by a matrix equation on the assumption that the source density is constant in each quadrilateral. The matrix equation is solved by an iteration procedure. A problem with 500 quadrilaterals requires about 15 minutes of computer time when run with CDC 6400 processor. A detailed discussion of the preparation of the input and a sample problem are included. Additional routines which compute streamlines on or off the body are described. (Author)
