Abstract : The procedure is described for selection of the optimal shape, the production technology, and the results of experimental research on the carrying capacity of high pressure fiberglass reinforced plastic containers. A lenticular shape of the container was acknowledged to be the optimal one. The design of this container includes a fiberglass reinforced plastic force shell of variable thickness, made by the wet winding method, a sealing shell of crude rubber or duraluminum alloy and two metal pieces with reinforcements. Also described are the reinforcement system, the production technology, and the results of experimental research on the stability of fiberglass reinforced plastic rods. (Author)
