Abstract : The report gives the results of an experiment in which the mount angle readout system of an infrared, acquisition-tracking system (SOLITAIRE) was calibrated using an Air Force aircraft as a target. These angle data, which were obtained from a 15-bit digital shaft angle encoder system, are compared to angle data from several radars at White Sands Missile Range. (Author)
