Abstract : An inertial navigation system is described and analyzed which is based on three two-degree-of-freedom gyroscopic sensors. Two of the sensors are Schuler gyropendulums with their spin vectors pointing up or down, respectively. The third sensor is an azimuth gyro with its spin vector pointing northerly, parallel to the earth axis. (Author)
